the last day in zagreb was very bittersweet. we were looking forward to the new experience but sad to be leaving our home of two years.
we were at the sheraton on the night of the 5th and then would fly out on the 6th.
michael had to take care of last minute business…dropping the car and mobiles off at pliva and the final walk-through of the house.
renata told me to call her when i got back to zagreb for coffee so i did. i was excited for one last coffee. unfortunately, when we agreed to meet at torte i to, we didn’t say which one. i forgot that there was a new one by renata’s house and she assumed that is where i would go. so i sat at kaptol waiting for 45 minutes and when i got back to the sheraton (walking) i called and found out my mistake. so much for the last coffee in zagreb. at least i had one last bijela kava!
the massive downpour was kind enough to wait until i made it back to the hotel! it was gone by the time michael got back though. the kids went to branimir to see a movie (the hangover) while michael and i did our things.
it was pretty early to bed so that we could be up by 6.30 for breakfast and time to leave for the airport at 7.00. breakfast at the sheraton is always good….plentiful and varied.
