my husband was just DYING to go out to dinner this week. i had been putting it off because i just really didn’t feel like it. however, on wednesday, i relented and we decided to go to lucille’s…in laguna woods i think.
i thought this would cost less than king’s fish house. it probably did and the fact that the kids are just ok with it whereas michael and i LOVE it, made a difference to. no sense in spending $30-35 on entrees for kids who are only ok with them.
anyway…we had a great time at lucille’s. the wait was long since there was some sort of chamber of commerce dinner taking up half the place. well…when i saw long i really mean 15 minutes or so.
michael and i decided to order a bottle of wine since we had kaity there to drive for us….awesome! it was good; a reisling, my fav! i was half toasted by the time we got to the table. (it doesn’t take much to get me half tasted and very little more to get me fully toasted.)
we all had a great time and great food. it was nice to go out as a family with all 5 of us.

holy crap…demon red eyes and all! seriously, thomas never wants to take a serious, regular picture. he must always make a face of some sort. boys!

tyler always looks as he is in real life…sweet and easygoing! his order was probably enough to feed 4 kids! it was huge! the poor kid was really tired for some reason.
i usually put off my trip to the hair dresser as long as possible. it’s simple laziness. i am a closet agoraphobic. don’t laugh! it’s true! i hate to leave the house. i have to give myself a pep talk every time i need to go do something like that. if i didn’t have to leave the house, i probably wouldn’t.
anyway…i started that paragraph as a way of saying, i got my hair done yesterday. i like this salon and my stylist, nichole (of femme chick fame). she’s nice, she listens and she’ll fix it if i don’t like it. a great combination. i usually have my eyebrows done too. amandine takes care of that thankless task. she’s a gorgeous french girl who is as sweet as can be. for as pretty as she is…she’s not snooty or snotty at all.

this isn’t a great pic of me but then i doubt there are many great or even good pics of me out there. really, i’m not kidding. i don’t photograph well. i’m not a great looking person in real life but pictures make me look even worse. if my first impressions had to be made via photos…i’d be in a lot of trouble!
most of the rest of the day isn’t really worth mentioning. my spaghetti dinner was a disaster. the sauce was too sweet. the weather was yuck again. i went shopping for jeans for my older son and couldn’t find anything to fit his bean pole body type.
we did sit down to watch a netflix movie as a family…or at least it started out as a family and then the boys disappeared to their rooms. we watched paul blart: mall cop. i had heart how funny it was. it was cute…stupid but cute and a 3 out of 5.
i went to bed super early trying to shake off this fatigue but to no avail. still exhausted at 2 the next afternoon 
and that makes me late on publishing yesterday’s blog.
