mom’s day…
today, 67 years ago, my mom was born. if i remember the story correctly, it was during a blizzard and the doctor couldn’t make it to the house. my grandmother must have been a trooper…i’m sure it was as natural as natural could be!
i hope she had a great day. she’s been working really hard to stay with my uncle in the hospital day to day. it’s a long, stressful haul and she’s been there every day. she took today off for her birthday (her husband took her spot) and spent the day doing laundry instead. that’s mom!
as far as california went…rain again. it was another dreary day with a ton of rain! my poor hydrangeas are in a permanent puddle i think. there is really no where for the water to go! the weather said 100% rain for thursday 90% overnight and 70% for friday.
i guess it’s not so much the rain that has me down…it may just be the time of year. my mood is dreary. i could crawl into bed and stay there for days!
